Meet The Team
Kelly Dowling, Head of Recruitment
Kelly has a wealth of experience working in recruitment across sectors including contract catering, facilities management, hospitality, and care. She has managed recruiter teams in the UK, Greece, Spain and South Africa, achieving great results across geographical and cultural bounds. Kelly has a passion for matching the right people with the right roles. She’s also a secret tech geek and loves keeping up with the latest changes in the industry.
Kelly lives in Bromsgrove with her husband, three children and two dogs, who keep her well and truly busy!
Will Mawson, Recruitment Manager
Will has been working in recruitment for the best part of a decade. He’s experienced a variety of roles: agency and in-house, consultant and business owner, freelancer and corporate manager. He’s an old hand in hospitality and food retail, but he’s also worked in early years education, the charity sector, marketing and FMCG.
A former outdoor instructor, Will is a whisky connoisseur – the smokier and peatier the better. As an experienced climber, he’s fine with heights but makes up for it by being terrified of spiders. His ambition is to learn the bagpipes, if his neighbours ever let him.
Jess Howard, Talent Acquisition Manager
Before joining the Pineapple team, Jess worked in a variety of roles including retail, hospitality and customer service. She got her first recruitment experience managing a busy temporary recruitment department in the hospitality industry. Jess loves to create positive and memorable client experiences, promote great relationship-building and foster teamwork.
In her teens, Jess studied music and was signed by an American record label at age 17. She’s written and recorded songs that feature on some very popular YouTube accounts. She also has two young children who keep her on her toes.
Ash Chopra, Talent Acquisition Lead
Ash took up a career in recruiting back in 2015 and has built up some mighty fine experience having worked in-house roles at some big, high street restaurants. Alongside this, he’s completed a multitude of tasks in external agencies; looking after the recruitment needs for a plethora of different companies and building a fantastic network of fabulous people.
It’s a good job Ash keeps himself busy with recruiting or he’d never be away from the cricket field! He’s got a good case for being the world’s biggest fan; what Ash doesn’t know about cricket, isn’t worth knowing! He’s super family focused and loves getting around the dinner table for occasions with relatives.
Charlie Stevens, Talent Acquisition Specialist
Charlie started her recruitment career in 2016 as a recruitment resourcer, becoming a full-360 recruiter in 2017. She’s worked across a wide variety of sectors, from dental to administration to warehousing and more, as well as recruiting for apprenticeships across the country. For Charlie, the most rewarding aspect of her job is helping candidates find their ideal role, enriching their lives and growing their careers.
Charlie is passionate about travel and loves to explore new places. Her favourite experience was travelling solo in Bali! Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and recently bought her first home.
Jess Gwynne, Talent Acquisition Specialist
Jess entered the full cycle recruitment arena around 2020 bringing with her a wealth of experience from her days as a Recruitment Assessor and Coordinator. She’s worked within multiple industries but is aligned with the rest of the team in that her passion is all things food and drink! Jess loves nothing more than a smooth running process and supporting both our clients and candidates to achieve their dreams.
Away from work, Jess carries on her passion of food, regularly cooking for people and using them as testers for new cuisines! You’ll also find her putting the rest of us to shame in various sports including touch rugby, horse riding, tennis and badminton.
Sophie Dolloway, Talent Acquisition Specialist
Sophie moved into the recruitment field after five years as international business coordinator for a tech giant. Her previous work experience covered a variety of very different roles, from managing a bowling alley to working on farms in Australia and New Zealand. As a talent acquisition specialist, she leverages all this experience to understand what our clients and candidates are looking for, identifying strengths and providing personalised coaching.
Alongside her recruitment role, Sophie also teaches entrepreneurs how to build their own Shopify stores and market them on social media. She’s also studying for a TEFL certificate. She loves animals, travel, exercise, and finding and trying out new vegan recipes.
Taylor Hill, Talent Acquisition Coordinator
Taylor is an experienced communicator with a background in technology. Passionate about film and creative production, he co-ran a small film and audio company before moving into recruitment. He loves being part of the Pineapple team and making a positive impact on the lives of clients and candidates alike.
Taylor believes that a job well done elevates everyone. As our Talent Acquisition Coordinator, he supports the work of our recruitment team, helping us make lasting connections between people and organisations.
Nicki Tilt, Talent Acquisition Coordinator
Before coming to Pineapple, Nicki worked as training and retention team leader for a care company, where she managed all training. With five years’ experience in training and recruitment, Nicki feels that she has really found her vocation. A true people person, she loves building relationships and helping our clients and candidates to realise their potential.
Outside of work, Nicki is a henna tattoo artist and enjoys expressing her creative spirit by making macramé wall hangings.
